브레이크뉴스 노보림 기자= 검찰이 마약 투약 사실을 스스로 자수해 재판에 넘겨진 래퍼 식케이(본명 권민식·31)에 대해 징역 3년6개월을 구형했다.

20일 법조계에 따르면 서울서부지법 형사7단독 마성영 부장판사 심리로 오전 10시50분 열린 권씨에 대한 마약류 관리에 관한 법률 위반(대마) 등 혐의 공판기일에서 검찰은 징역 3년6개월을 선고해달라고 재판부에 요청했다.

검찰은 실형 구형에 대해 "식케이는 대중에게 널리 알려진 유명 래퍼로 특히 청소년들에게 많은 영향력을 행사하고 있는 사람"이라며 "다른 사람보다 무거운 도덕적 책무를 부담하지만 마약 범죄로 집행유예 전력이 있는데도 재범하는 등 죄질이 좋지 않다"고 설명했다.

한편 권씨는 지난해 1월19일 오전 8시40분경 용산구 서울지방보훈청 인근에서 근무 중이던 경찰관에게 마약을 투약했다며 자수했다. 사건을 넘겨받은 검찰은 지난해 6월 권씨를 불구속 기소했다.

권씨는 지난 2023년 10월 1일부터 9일 사이 케타민(Ketamine)과 엑스터시(MDMA) 등을 투약한 것으로 알려졌다.

케타민은 동물용 마취제 등으로 쓰이는 성분이며 엑스터시는 원래 심리 치료 보조제로 개발됐으나 클럽, 파티 등에서 환각제, 각성제로 악용돼왔다.

한편 재판부는 오는 5월1일 오전 10시를 선고기일로 정했다.
