브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이재명 더불어민주당 대표는 26일 공직선거법 위반 혐의 항소심에서 무죄를 선고받았다.

이재명 대표는 이날 오후 항소심이 진행된 서울고등법원 청사를 나서며 기자들과 만나 "사필귀정 아니겠나. 진실에 기반해 제대로 된 판단을 해주신 재판부에 감사드린다"고 밝혔다.

이 대표는 이어 "한편으론 당연한 일들을 이끌어내는데에 이 많은 에너지가 사용된 것에 대해서 참으로 황당하다는 생각이 든다"면서 "검찰과 정권이, 이재명을 잡기 위해 증거를 조작하고 사건을 조작했던 노력을 산불 예방이나 국민의 삶 개선에 썼더라면 얼마나 좋았겠느냐"고 지적했다.

그러면서 "이 순간에도 어디선가는 산불이 번지고 누군가는 죽어가고, 나라의 경제가 망가지고 있다. 검찰이 더이상 국력을 낭비하지 않았으면 한다"고 덧붙였다.

한편, 서울고법 형사6-2부(부장판사 최은정·이예슬·정재오)는 이날 오후 2시경부터 공직선거법 위반 혐의로 기소된 이 대표의 항소심 선고공판에서 1심 판결을 파기하고 무죄를 선고했다.
