브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 국민의힘은 26일 이재명 더불어민주당 대표의 공직선거법 위반 사건 항소심 무죄 판결에 대해 깊은 유감이라고 표명했다.

신동욱 수석대변인은 이날 논평에서 "이재명 대표가 2심에서 무죄를 받았다고 해서 국민적 여론이 나아질 거라 기대하지 말라"며 "이 대표는 여전히 ‘전과 4범’이며, ‘8개 사건, 12개 혐의, 5개 재판’이라는 꼬리표가 남아 있다"고 지적했다.

또한 "이 대표는 공직선거법 재판이 진행되는 내내 재판을 지연시키는 꼼수를 부려왔다"며 "항소심 개시를 위한 소송기록 접수통지서를 수령하지 않거나, 허위사실공표죄에 대한 위헌법률 심판제청을 신청하는 등 재판부를 농락했다"고 비판했다.

그러면서 "진정으로 떳떳하다면 법꾸라지처럼 꼼수 전략을 쓰지 말고, 대한민국 국민의 한 사람으로서 성실히 재판에 임해야 한다"고 강조했다.

신 대변인은 "국민의힘은 국민과 함께 향후 대법원의 현명한 판단을 기다릴 것"이라며 "사법부의 신속하고 엄정한 판결을 촉구한다"고 밝혔다.
