우리말살리는겨레모임(공동대표 이대로)은 올 한글날에도 우리말 지킴이와 헤살꾼을 뽑아서 발표했다. 이 모임은 1998년부터 우리말을 우리글자로 적는 말글살이를 할 때에 우리말도 바로서고 얼 찬 나라가 되기에 해마다 한글날에 우리말 지킴이와 헤살꾼을 뽑아 발표하는데 2025년 우리말 지킴이와 헤살꾼은 아래와 같다.

우리말 으뜸 지킴이로 세종특별자치시(시장 최민호)로 뽑았는데 시는 한글문화도시로 만들어 우리말과 한글을 살리고 지키는 모범도시가 되겠다는 계획을 세우고 마을이름과 길 이름도 우리말로 짓고 한글날마다 시민들과 함께 ’한글큰잔치‘를 하면서 세종정신과 한글을 빛내려고 애쓰기에 “우리말 으뜸 지킴이”로 뽑고 한글날에 최민호 시장에서 그 상패를 주었다. 한글과 세종대왕이 태어난 서울시는 한글과 우리말을 못살게 구는 것과 견주어 볼 때 아주 잘하는 일이고 다른 도시들도 본받기 바라면서 온 나라에 알린 것이다.
그리고 우리말 지킴이로 ’맨말러‘라는 외국말 합성어를 버리고 ’맨발벗‘이라고 우리말을 살려서 쓰는 맨발걷기운동본부 박동창 회장과 수십 년 동안 우리말과 한글을 살리고 빛내려고 애쓰는 자연치유일보 신향식기자, 2005년 한글날 국경일 제정운동을 할 때 국회 앞에서 1인 시위도 하고 오늘날 누리통신망을 통해 우리말 지키기 운동을 하는 전 참여연대 사무처장 손혁재 박사, 2021년부터 5년 째 아프리카 코트디부아르공화국 펠릭스우푸에부아니 대학 한국학 대학원에서 한국문화와 한국어를 가르치고 있는 선미라 교수, 러시아 블라디보스톡을 시작으로 중앙아시아와 유럽까지 54개국을 13개 월동안 자동차로 돌면서 "홍익인간·평화사랑, 한글 철학“ 강연도 하고 한글을 알리고 자랑하는 한창환 한글서예가를 뽑았다.

또한 우리말 헤살꾼으로 국어기본법과 옥외광고물관리법을 제대로 지키지 않는 부산시(시장 박형준), 점점 늘어나는 거리 외국어 간판과 영어 아파트이름, 광복 80년이 지났는데도 일본 식민지 교육으로 길든 일본 한자말을 써야 한다고 주장하는 사람들, 한글나라가 다 되었는데 아직도 제호를 한자로 쓰고 일본 한자말을 그대로 쓰면서 제목에 ”美 터트릭 만난 뒤“처럼 토막한자를 쓰는 신문들 잘못을 따졌다.
