브레이크뉴스 박동제 기자= 납치·폭행 피해를 당했던 인기 게임 유튜버 ‘수탉(본명 고진호)’이 근황을 전했다.
수탉은 11일 자신의 유튜브 채널 커뮤니티를 통해 “다들 갑작스러운 소식에 걱정했을 텐데, 저는 병원에 입원해 치료를 잘 받고 있고 최근에는 안와골절 수술도 마쳤다”고 밝혔다.
수탉은 “당시에 뉴스를 보신 분들은 아시겠지만, 폭행을 당한 후 납치되면서 정말 ‘이대로 죽는구나’ 싶었는데 이렇게 살아서 직접 여러분께 소식을 전할 수 있다는 사실이 정말 다행이라고 생각이 든다”고 말했다.
이어 “구조됐을 때의 제 사진을 보는데 ‘나를 정말 죽이려고 작정했었구나’라고 생각이 들 정도로 피범벅이 된 얼굴이 정말 처참하더라”며 “여러 곳의 흉터나 후유증은 앞으로 평생 남겠지만, 시간이 지나면 조금씩 괜찮아지겠지 생각하며 많은 분들의 위로와 응원, 그리고 도움 덕분에 기운 내어 열심히 회복하고 있다”고 전했다.

앞서 인천 연수경찰서는 지난달 28일 살인 미수 등 혐의로 수탉을 납치한 20대 A씨와 30대 B씨에 대해 구속영장을 신청했다.
A씨 등은 지난달 26일 오후 10시 40분께 인천 연수구 송도동 한 아파트 지하주차장에서 수탉을 차에 납치한 뒤 둔기로 여러 차례 폭행해 살해하려 한 혐의를 받고 있다.
이들은 수탉과 지인 사이로, 빌린 돈을 갚겠다며 수탉을 지하주차장으로 불러내 폭행한 뒤 준비한 차량에 태워 충남 금산군으로 200km 가량 이동했다. 수탉은 납치 전 “위험한 상황이 발생할 것 같다”는 취지로 미리 경찰에 신고한 것으로 파악됐다.
경찰은 주차장 폐쇄회로(CCTV) 영상 분석 등을 통해 범행에 이용된 차를 특정한 뒤 추적에 나섰고, 사건 발생 4시간 만인 다음날 오전 2시 40분께 금산군의 한 공원에서 A씨 등을 현행범 체포했다.
한편, 수탉은 구독자 102만명을 보유한 인기 게임 유튜버로, 2013년부터 숲(SOOP·구 아프리카TV)에서 스트리머로 활동 중이다.
