2009년 제29회 전국장애인체전 개최 이후 전남에서 14년만에 다시 열린 이번 전국장애인체전은 장애를 극복하고 자신의 한계를 뛰어넘는 스포츠 대축제의 장으로 전국 17개 시·도 선수단과 재미해외동포선수단 등 역대 최다 인원인 1만여 명이 참가했다.
