지난 11월 17일 오후 2시 30분 부터 한국프레스센터 18층 외신기자클럽에서는 '제 8회 환경안전포럼 및 실천대상'이 진행됐다. 이번 포럼 및 시상식은 환경안전포커스가 주최하고 인디포커스가 주관했다.
이날 행사에서는 서유진 재독 소프라노의 축가와 환경안전포커스 김은해 발행인의 인사말로 환경안전포럼을 열었다.
축사로 선 방덕우 대회장은 "우리 인류의 삶은 모든것이 환경과 연결되어 있습니다. 우리가 과거에는 행복과 풍요 속에서 자연과 함께 살아왔지만 어느날 부터 개구리 매미가 없어졌습니다. 지구는 인간이 잘못한 행동을 가지고 파괴가 되었습니다. 나의 삶 속에서 내 자신 부터 환경을 살펴야 합니다." 말했다.
이어 "극한 가뭄, 극한 폭우 한번도 이런 적이 없었는데 상상을 초월하는 비가 쏟아지고 도저히 감당할 수 없은 일들이 일어나고 있습니다. 우리의 안전이 환경 변화로 인해 위협받고 있습니다. 우리가 작은 것 하나 실천할 때 지구가 살아날 수 있습니다."라며 우리 일상 생활 속 자연을 지키는 작은 실천을 강조했다.
이어 ▲명예 대회장 신복용 ▲선정위원장 뇌과학박사 김종상 교수 ▲재난안전원 원장 김동헌 ▲글로벌에코넷 김선홍 회장이 축사를 진행했다.
1부 포럼에서는 먼저 안전부문에서 채수창 지구촌안전연맹 대표가 "환경안전과 CCTV의 역할"에 대해 발제했고, 이어 환경부문으로 박재홍 코드오브네이처 대표가 "이끼가 탄소중립에 대해 어떤 영향력이 있는지"에 대해서 발제했다.

이후 진행된 2부 시상식에서는 9월10일부터 10월20일까지 '환경에 대한 숨은공로자를 찾습니다'라는 공모를 통해 정부 표창 및 상장 국회의장 공로장에 선정된 9명과 국회의정부문 3명, 기초단체 부문 3명, 특별부문 1명, 환경기자 부문 1명을 포함 총 17명에 대한 시상이 진행됐다.

On November 17, from 2:30 p.m., the Foreign Correspondents' Club on the 18th floor of the Korea Press Center hosted the '8th Environmental Safety Forum and Action Awards'. The forum and award ceremony were hosted by Environment & Safety Focus and organized by Indie Focus.
At the event, the environmental safety forum was opened with a benediction by soprano Seo Yoo-jin and a greeting from Kim Eun-hae, publisher of Environmental Safety Focus.
In his congratulatory speech, Chairman Bang Deok-woo said, "Everything in our lives is connected to the environment. In the past, we lived in happiness and abundance with nature, but one day the frog cicada disappeared. The earth has been destroyed by man's misdeeds. I have to look at my environment in my life, starting with myself."
"We've never had extreme droughts, extreme rainfalls, we've never seen anything like this, but we're seeing unimaginable rainfall and things happening that we can't handle. Our safety is threatened by environmental changes. When we do one small thing, the earth can be saved." He emphasized the small actions of protecting nature in our daily lives.

In the first part of the forum, Chae Su-chang, CEO of the Global Village Safety Federation, gave a presentation on "Environmental Safety and the Role of CCTV" in the safety sector, and then Park Jae-hong, CEO of Code of Nature, gave a presentation on "What kind of impact moss has on carbon neutrality" in the environmental sector.
In the second part of the awards ceremony held afterwards, a total of 17 people were awarded, including 9 people who were selected for the National Assembly Citation and Medal of Merit from the National Assembly Chairman, 3 members of the National Assembly Government, 3 people in the basic organization category, 1 person in the special category, and 1 person in the environmental journalist category through a contest titled 'Looking for Hidden Contributors to the Environment'.
