인천시 중구(구청장 김정헌)가 복잡·다변화하는 영종국제도시 행정복지 수요에 대응하고자 ‘영종1동 분동 추진’ 준비에 박차를 가하고 있다.
김정헌 인천 중구청장은 지난 14일 ‘영종2동 행정복합센터 신축공사’ 현장을 찾아 공정 상황을 점검하며 현장 관계자를 격려했다.
이날 김정헌 구청장은 강후공 중구의회 의장, 구의원 등과 함께 감리소장과 현장소장으로부터 공사 진행현황을 청취한 후, 현장 관계자들을 격려하며 안전 시공에 최선을 다해달라고 당부했다.
영종1동 분동 추진에 맞춰 진행되는 ‘영종2동 행정복합센터 건립공사’는 신규 공동주택 입주, 각종 개발사업에 따른 지속적 인구증가에 대비, 행정·복지 수요 증가에 능동적으로 대처하고자 시행하는 사업이다.
공사비 총 108억을 투입, 중산동 1912-4 번지 일원에 대지면적 1,200㎡, 연면적 2,998㎡, 지하 1층 ~ 지상 5층 규모의 건물을 조성 중이다. 오는 2024년 1월 1일 개청을 목표로 지난 2022년 4월 착공했다.
