【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=증평 장뜰쌀(출품자 신광인)이 제26회 전국 고품질쌀 생산 우수 쌀전업농 선발대회에서 은상을 수상했다.

지난 16일부터 17일까지 서울 보라매공원에서 개최된 이 대회는 농림축산식품부가 주최하고 (사)한국쌀전업농중앙연합회가 주관하는 쌀 품질 평가 분야 최고 권위 행사다.

이번 대회에는 각 시도에서 1차 심사를 거쳐 총 48점이 출품한 가운데 한국식품연구원과 국립식량과학원, 국립농산물품질관리원의 성분, 식미 등 엄격한 검사를 거쳐 품질이 우수한 쌀을 선발했다.

장뜰쌀은 완효성비료와 풋거름 작물 환원, 셀레늄 투입 등 저탄소 신농법으로 재배해 환경친화적이고 밥맛이 우수한 쌀로 좋은 평가를 받았다.

군 관계자는 “이번 수상을 계기로 증평 장뜰쌀이 환경과 소비자 그리고 밥맛까지 사로잡는 명품쌀이 될 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.

Jeungpyeong Jangtteul Rice (exhibitor Shin Gwang-in) won the silver prize at the 26th National High-Quality Rice Production Excellent Rice Farmer Selection Contest.
