기독교복음선교회(세칭JMS, 이하 선교회)는 3월18일 보도자료에서 “기독교복음선교회의 최대 행사 ‘휴거의 날’ 행사가 역대급 규모로 열렸다. 계속되는 미디어의 악의적 보도와 정명석 목사가 겪고 있는 법적 어려움에도 불구하고 세계 77개국에서 모인 대규모 인파들이 선교회의 최대 비전 ‘휴거’를 기념하며 교세의 건재함을 증명했다”고 알렸다.

기독교복음선교회측은 이 자료에서 “선교회는 2015년부터 매년 영 휴거를 기념하는 행사를 열어왔다. 특히 올해는 ‘휴거 10주년’이란 의미 있는 해인 만큼 성삼위께 감사하며 정 목사와 함께 걸어온 선교회 역사를 돌아보는 행사 프로그램이 기획됐다”면서 “지난 16일 충남 금산군 진산면에 위치한 월명동 자연성전에서 휴거의 날 행사가 열렸다. 행사의 주제는 ‘하나님 성령님 성자 영광의 역사’였다.”고 소개했다.
