25일 당국은 강풍으로 청송, 영양군과 영덕군까지 번진 불씨가 오후 7시48분께 봉화군 물야면까지 확산했다고 밝혔다.

해당 지역은 경북 영주뿐만 아니라 강원도 단양, 영월과도 인접해 우려가 커지고 있다.

불이 나자 봉화군은 안전안내문자를 통해 “인근 주민들은 물야면 주민복지회관으로 대피하라”며 대피 명령을 발령했다.

영양군 오후 6시 47분께 석보면 주민에게 대피 명령을 발령했고 영덕군은 오후 7시 9분께 재난안전문자로 ‘지방도 911호선, 지품면 황장리∼석보면 화매리 구간 교통통제 중’이라며 ‘통행금지‘를 알렸다.

길안면을 비롯해 풍천면, 임하면, 일직면 등을 중심으로 산불 위협이 커지고 있는 안동시에서는 오후 5시께 시민 전체에 대피령이 내려졌다.

불길이 거센 가운데 청송군청도 화재로 피해를 입었고 안동고등학교는 전소된 것으로 확인된다.

As the flames raged, Cheongsong County Office also suffered damage from the fire, and Andong High School was confirmed to have been completely burned down.
