브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이재명 더불어민주당 대표의 정치 명운을 가를 공직선거법 위반 혐의 항소심 재판부는 26일 '백현동 국감' 발언과 관련 "정치적으로 의견 표명을 한 것에 해당돼 허위사실 공표죄로 처벌할 수 없다"고 밝혔다.
서울고법 형사6-2부(부장판사 최은정·이예슬·정재오)는 이날 오후 2시경부터 공직선거법 위반 혐의로 기소된 이 대표의 항소심 선고공판에서 이같이 판단했다.
앞서 이재명 대표는 2021년 10월 20일 경기도청에서 열린 ‘2021년도 국토위원회 국정감사’에서 백현동 개발사업 경위를 묻는 질의에 ‘용도변경에서 국토부로부터 압박을 받았다’는 발언을 한 것과 관련 허위사실 공표로 기소됐다.
