24일 오후 부산 벡스코 특설경기장에서 열린 BNK부산은행 2024부산세계탁구선수권대회 남자 준결승전에서 한국(랭킹 5위)은 중국(1위)과 치열한 접전 끝에 매치 포인트 2-3으로 만리장성의 벽을 넘지 못했다. 한국 남자팀은 2016년 쿠알라룸푸르 대회부터 4회 연속 세계선수권대회 단체전 동메달 획득에 만족해야 했다.
