브레이크뉴스 박동제 기자= 성신여대 창의융합학부 서경덕 교수팀은 22일 "최근 일본 우익 세력이 사회관계망서비스(SNS)를 통해 그룹 방탄소년단(BTS)를 이용한 독도 억지 주장을 펼치고 있어 논란이 되고 있다"고 알렸다.
'Share News Japan'의 X(옛 트위터) 계정에 과거 BTS 리더인 RM이 한복을 입고 '독도는 우리땅'을 부르는 장면을 게재해 조롱에 나선 것.
이에 대해 서경덕 성신여대 교수는 "많은 BTS 팬들의 제보를 통해 알게 됐고, 확인해보니 약 2천만회 조회수를 통해 일본 우익 세력이 논란을 일으키고 있다"고 밝혔다.
문제의 계정에는 "BTS 리더, 위안부 옷 입고 다케시마(일본이 주장하는 독도 명칭)는 한국 땅이라고 노래한다"라는 설명을 덧붙이며 일본군 '위안부'도 함께 조롱하고 있다.
과거 BTS 멤버 지민이 광복절 기념 티셔츠를 입고 방송에 출연하고, RM이 SNS에 광복절 기념 트윗을 남긴 것에 대해서도 일본 우익 세력은 자국 내 논란을 만든 바 있다.
이에 서 교수는 "전 세계에 K팝의 영향력이 커지면서 일본 우익 세력의 트집 잡기가 날로 늘어나는 모양새"라고 지적했다. 특히 그는 "이들의 잘못된 역사 인식 및 행위에 대해 국내외로 꾸준히 지적하여 다시는 이런 일이 발생하지 않도록 조치해야 할 것"이라고 강조했다.
