단양군체육회 주최·주관으로 열리는 이번 페스티벌은 단양읍 상진나루 계류장에서 다양한 수상스포츠 활동으로 군민과 관광객들에게 여름철 시원한 즐거움을 선사할 예정이다.

화려한 플라이보드 공연으로 시작하는 축제는 다양한 수상레저기구 체험을 무료로 즐길 수 있다.

또 개막축하 콘서트, 어린이 물놀이장, 각종 체험부스 등 다양한 체험과 프로그램도 무료로 진행된다.

축제 동안 체험할 수 있는 수상스포츠는 △모터보트 △수상오토바이 △수상자전거 △카약 △SUP(패들서프) 등이 있으며 단양군체육회를 통해 사전접수 및 현장에서 체험 신청이 가능하다.

동력레저기구인 모터보트와 수상오토바이는 축제 둘째 날까지 체험이 가능하고 무동력레저기구는 셋째 날까지 체험이 가능하다.

다만 임산부와 노약자, 미취학아동은 안전상의 문제로 참가가 제한된다.

셋째 날과 넷째 날에는 2024 단양 코리안 SUP 챔피언십 대회가 열려 축제 분위기를 한층 더 고조시킬 예정이다.

3일에 열리는 경기종목은 SUP(패들서프) 300m 단거리 종목으로 오픈부 남·여, 일반부 남·여, 유소년(8세∼13세, 14세∼18세)부 남·여 등 총 8개 부 100여 명이 참가한다.
