【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군은 2일 군청 소회의실에서 스마트도시 조성 추진단 위촉식 및 1차 회의를 개최했다.

스마트도시 조성 추진단은 추진단장인 이재영 군수를 포함한 당연직 위원 4명과 위촉직 위원 6명, 총 10명으로 구성됐다.

위촉직 위원은 대학, 연구기관, 기업체 등에서 스마트도시 관련 분야 전문가를 추천받아 위촉했다.

이날 위촉된 위원들은 성공적인‘스마트도시 계획 수립 및 조성’ 목표 실현을 위해 정책 연구 자문 등의 역할을 하게 된다.

회의에서는 스마트도시·관광 구축 기반 마련을 위한 스마트 도시계획 수립 용역 보고와 2024년 스마트도시 솔루션 확산사업 추진현황 및 계획을 발표했다.

이어진 자유토론에서는 스마트도시 조성 추진단 운영방안, 증평군 스마트도시 발전 방향에 대한 논의가 이뤄졌다.

이재영 군수는 “정보통신기술을 활용해 도시의 문제를 해결하고 군민 삶의 질을 높이는 것을 목표로 증평군 스마트도시 계획을 수립하겠다”고 말했다.

한편 군은 올해 5월 국토교통부 주관 ‘스마트도시 솔루션 확산사업’ 공모에 선정된 바 있다.
