30일 문경시(시장 신현국)에 따르면 이번 개회식에는 신현국 문경시장, 이정걸 문경시의회 의장, 박영서 도의원과 시·도의원, 이춘대 2024 문경 아시아 유·청소년 유도 선수권대회 사무총장, 노순하 문경시체육회장, 오베이드 알-안지 아시아유도연맹 회장, 대한유도회 조용철 회장 등 문경시 주요 인사, 아시아 주요 유도 임원이 참석하여 더욱 자리를 빛냈다.

2024 문경 아시아 유·청소년 유도 선수권대회는 아시아유도연맹이 주최하고, 문경시·대한유도회가 후원하는 대회로 아시아 25개국 600여 명의 선수·임원이 참가하여 8월 29일부터 9월 1일까지 4일간의 열전을 펼친다.

특히, 이번 개회식에는 2024 파리올림픽 은메달리스트 허미미 등 유도 메달리스트를 위한 포상금 수여식이 함께 개최돼 이번 선수권대회 개회식을 돋보이게 했다.
