윤석열 대통령이 5일 "AI(인공지능)·모빌리티를 토대로 광주 첨단산업 지형을 크게 바꿔놓을 것"이라며 "AI 영재고가 2027년에 차질 없이 개교하게 직접 세심하게 챙기겠다"고 밝혔다.

윤 대통령은 이날 오후 광주 광주과학기술원(GIST)에서 '첨단기술과 문화로 미래를 디자인하는 광주' 주제로 열린 28번째 국민과 함께하는 민생토론회 모두 발언에서 "AI 발전을 선도하는 도시가 미래 주역이 될 것이란 데 의심의 여지 없다"며 "AI 산업의 지속 가능한 성장을 위해 뭣보다 중요한 게 인재 양성"이라며 이렇게 말했다.
