더불어민주당이 윤석열 대통령 탄핵 사유 가운데 가장 크게 비중을 뒀던 '내란죄'를 돌연 삭제했다. 이런 가운데 헌법재판소가 내란죄를 제외한 채 탄핵 심리를 진행하는 것에 대한 여론조사에서 '부적절하다'는 의견이 절반을 상회하는 것으로 집계됐다.
데일리안이 여론조사 전문기관 '공정'에 의뢰해 지난 6~7일 이틀간 실시한 조사에 따르면 헌법재판소가 내란죄를 제외한 채 탄핵 심리를 진행하는 것에 대해 '부적절하다'가 51.5%로 나타났다. 이는 '적절하다' 40.9%에 비해 무려 10%p 이상 앞서는 비율이다. 잘 모르겠다는 응답은 7.6%였다.
이를 지역별로 보면 서울(부적절 54.6%, 적절 38.1%, 잘 모르겠다 7.3%), 경기.인천(47.5%, 43.5, 9.0), 대전.세종.충남.충북(57.4%, 37.0%, 5.6%), 광주.전남.전북(54.1%, 38.5%, 7.4%), 대구.경북(45.1%, 48.5%, 6.3%), 부산.울산.경남(52.1%, 39.7%, 8.1%), 강원.제주(60.9%, 35.0%, 4.1%)로 조사됐다.
연령별로는 만 18세 이상~20대(56.8%, 34.2%, 9.0%), 30대(62.4%, 35.0%, 2.5%), 40대(42.5%, 53.4%, 4.0%), 50대(47.4%, 47.6%, 5.0%), 60대(53.6%, 39.6%, 6.8%), 70세 이상(48.5%, 31.7%, 19.8%)였다.
이같은 결과는 더불어민주당이 애초 내란으로 덧씌우며 국회 탄핵안 가결에 결정적인 역향을 끼친 데 따른 국민적 반감도 크게 작용하는 것으로 읽히고 있다. 아울러 현직 대통령에 대한 공수처와 경찰의 군사작전을 방불케하는 체포 시도에 따른 강한 국민적 거부감과 함께 윤 대통령에 대한 동정론 확산과도 무관치 않은 것으로 풀이된다.

이번 조사는 전국 만 18세 이상 남녀 유권자 1003명을 대상으로 구조화된 설문지를 이용한 무선 100% RDD 방식 ARS로 진행됐다. 응답률은 4.1%이며, 표본오차는 95% 신뢰수준에 ±3.1%p다. 보다 자세한 내용은 중앙선거여론조사심의위원회 홈페이지를 참조하면 된다.

51.5% say impeachment trial without sedition is 'inappropriate' vs 40.9% say 'appropriate'... Distrust of the Constitutional Court?

The Democratic Party of Korea suddenly deleted 'sedition', which was the most important reason for impeaching President Yoon Seok-yeol. Meanwhile, in a public opinion poll on the Constitutional Court proceeding with the impeachment trial without sedition, more than half said it was 'inappropriate'.
According to a survey conducted by Dailyan on behalf of the public opinion poll specialist 'Fairness' over the past two days from the 6th to the 7th, 51.5% said it was 'inappropriate' for the Constitutional Court to proceed with the impeachment trial without sedition. This is a whopping 10%p higher than the 40.9% who said it was 'appropriate'. 7.6% responded that they were not sure.
By region, the survey results were as follows: Seoul (inappropriate 54.6%, appropriate 38.1%, unsure 7.3%), Gyeonggi-Incheon (47.5%, 43.5, 9.0), Daejeon-Sejong-Chungnam-Chungbuk (57.4%, 37.0%, 5.6%), Gwangju-Jeonnam-Jeonbuk (54.1%, 38.5%, 7.4%), Daegu-Gyeongbuk (45.1%, 48.5%, 6.3%), Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam (52.1%, 39.7%, 8.1%), Gangwon-Jeju (60.9%, 35.0%, 4.1%). By age, they were 18 years old or older to those in their 20s (56.8%, 34.2%, 9.0%), 30s (62.4%, 35.0%, 2.5%), 40s (42.5%, 53.4%, 4.0%), 50s (47.4%, 47.6%, 5.0%), 60s (53.6%, 39.6%, 6.8%), and 70 years old or older (48.5%, 31.7%, 19.8%).
This result is interpreted as a major factor in the public resentment against the Democratic Party of Korea for initially blaming it for internal strife and having a decisive negative impact on the National Assembly's passage of the impeachment bill. In addition, it is interpreted that it is not unrelated to the strong public rejection of the arrest attempt by the Public Prosecutor's Office and the police, which resembles a military operation against the incumbent president, and the spread of sympathy for President Yoon.
This survey was conducted using a structured questionnaire with 1,003 male and female voters aged 18 or older nationwide using a 100% wireless RDD method ARS. The response rate was 4.1%, and the sampling error was ±3.1%p at a 95% confidence level.
