이번 점검은 곡성군과 곡성소방서, 민간 전문가로는 ㈜전남도시가스, ㈜송우이엔텍으로 안전점검반을 구성하여 내실있게 진행했다.  

주요 점검 항목은 문어발식 콘센트 사용 여부, 건축물 균열, 손상 누수 등이다. 특히 현장에서 발견된 위험 요소는 시설물 관리 주체에게 직접 설명하여명절 연휴 전까지 개선할 예정이다.

또한 점검 결과에 대해서 경미한 사항은 현지 시정조치하고 위험요인이 해소될 때까지 지속 관리할 예정이며, 접지선 미설치 및 피난 탈출구의 물건 적재에 대해서는관리주체에게시정조치를 요구했다.
