스토브리그 특성상 정규 시즌 돌입 이전 선수 기량향상과 팀 조직력 향상을 위한 전지훈련의 성격을 갖고 있어 참가선수단은 경기기간 동안 지역 내 머무르며 지역 경제에도 활력을 불어넣었다.
