▲ 창원FC 2025시즌 출정식 개최

[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원FC는 27일 호텔인터내셔널 창원에서 구단주인 홍남표 창원시장, 정순욱 문화환경도시위원회 위원장, 시의원, 구단 관계자 및 선수단 등 60여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘2025시즌 출정식’을 개최했다.

이번 행사는 K3리그 소속인 창원FC가 올 시즌 우승을 향한 힘찬 출발을 대내외에 알리고, 선수단의 필승의지를 다지기 위해 마련됐다.

이영진 감독을 비롯한 창원FC 선수단은 직접 사인한 유니폼을 홍 시장에게 전달하며 필승각오를 드러냈다.

이영진 감독은 “선수단이 그동안 흘린 땀방울이 결실을 맺을 수 있도록, 좋은 성적을 거두고 박진감 넘치는 경기를 펼치겠다”며 “창원FC가 K3리그 명문 구단으로 거듭나도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 포부를 밝혔다.

홍남표 시장은 “스토브 리그와 동계 전지훈련 등을 통해 철저히 준비한 만큼, 선수들이 부상 없이 최고의 기량을 펼칠 수 있길 바란다”며 “창원FC가 올 시즌 좋은 성적을 거둘 수 있도록 시민 여러분의 많은 관심과 응원을 부탁드린다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 지난해 재단법인으로 새롭게 출범해 4위라는 좋은 성적을 거둔 창원FC는 2025시즌 K3리그(총 15개 구단 참가)에서 총 28경기(홈 14경기, 원정 14경기)를 치르게 된다.

시즌 첫 경기는 3월 2일 14시 목포국제축구센터에서 FC목포와 맞붙으며, 홈 개막전은 3월 15일(토) 14시 창원축구센터에서 시흥시민축구단을 상대로 열린다.

창원FC 관계자는 “창원FC가 K2리그 팀들과의 연습경기에서도 뛰어난 경기력을 보여준 만큼, 주전 선수들의 부상만 없다면 좋은 성적을 기대할 수 있다”고 자신감을 내비쳤다.
