한중교류촉진위원회 광주지회는 3월11일 보도자료에서 “한중교류촉진위원회 광주지회는 2025년 APEC 경주 정상회의 성공개최 기원 및 한중 교류 촉진을 일환으로 한, 첫 번째 광주 지역에서 진행된, ‘새 시대를 이끄는 시진핑과 한중 관계’ 북토크 콘서트가 주광주 중국총영사관 후원으로 광주차이나센터에서 지난 11일에 개최됐다”고 알렸다.

이창호 저자는 “세계를 향하는 중국의 대국굴기(大国崛起)의 힘, 우리는 新중국을 어떻게 볼 것인가!”이라며“개관적인 이론과 선명한 논리를 바탕으로 내용을 전개해 나가고 있다”며“이 책을 통해 시진핑과 한중 관계에 관한 '통합적인 정보와 균형 잡힌 시각'을 획득하는 것은 물론, 미래를 도모하는 중국의 현재를 명명백백하게 확인할 수 있을 것”이라고 밝혔다.
이용부 서울시의회 전 의장은 “내가 아는 시진핑은 사회주의 확고한 이념 속에 국민을 위한 공동부유 정책을 인정했다.”며“이 책의 이창호 저자는 ‘새 시대를 이끄는 시진핑과 한중 관계'를 객관적인 기준으로 허구적인 자료를 배제했고, 이 책은 비판을 아끼지 않았다는 점이 독특했다.”라고 밝혔다.
