브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 한국마사회가 불법경마를 근절하고 국민들의 피해를 예방하기 위해 사이버단속 전담조직을 신설하고, 2025년 불법경마 대응계획을 수립·추진한다.
한국마사회는 현장에서 온라인으로 불법경마의 중심이 이동하고 있는 가운데 사이버상의 불법 대응에 총력을 기울이기 위해 지난 1월 전담부서인 사이버단속부를 신설하고, IT전문인력을 확충한 데 이어 예산 역시 전년 대비 60% 이상 증액 편성했다.
또한, 최근 불법도박 관련자 처벌을 강화하는 한국마사회법 개정 법률안이 발의되는 등 국민적 관심이 고조되는 상황을 감안, 동종 산업 최고 수준의 단속 노하우를 결집해 △불법경마 감시 및 단속체계 고도화 △불법경마 예방 및 국민참여 활성화 △유관기관 협력체계 및 단속 전문역량 강화를 적극 추진한다는 방침이다.
아울러 ‘국민참여 불법경마 모니터링단’의 확대 운영, 신고포상금 제도 개선, 다양한 불법경마 근절 캠페인 시행을 통해 불법경마의 심각성을 알리고 국민 참여를 증진하는 한편, 경찰청과의 네트워크 강화 및 수사기관 출신 전문인력 지속 충원 등으로 단속의 실효성을 강화해 나갈 예정이다.
마사회 관계자는 “불법경마 사이트를 자동으로 탐지하는 AI모델의 성능을 개선하고, 불법경마 콘텐츠의 신속한 차단을 위해 전국민이 이용하는 SNS 플랫폼 등과 협업을 통해 공적신고 체계의 확대 구축을 추진할 예정이다”고 말했다.
