(나주=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=한전KDN이 광주․전남지역 대학생 대상으로 추진하여 온 ‘전력IT 개론’ 특강이 2025년부터 확대 운영된다.

기존 1학점 과정에서 전공선택 2학점 과목으로 개편되며, 최신 전력ICT 동향과 인공지능(AI) 등 혁신 기술 트랜드를 반영한 강의로 개편하여 학생들에게 이론뿐만 아니라 현장 실무 중심의 학습을 통해 차세대 전력산업을 이끌어갈 역량을 갖출 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

한전KDN은 2018년부터 지역사회와의 상호 협력을 통한 ESG경영 실천과 전력산업의 디지털 전환 대응을 위해 전력ICT 분야의 전문 인력 양성을 목적으로 강의를 개설하여 진행하고 있으며 전력시스템의 기본 개념부터 최신 스마트그리드 기술까지 폭넓은 내용을 다루고 있다.

올해는 오는 6월까지 12주 기간으로 목포해양대학교 재학생을 대상으로 진행되며 취업을 준비하는 청년들에게 필요한 경력 관리와 진로 안내를 시작으로 송‧배전, 전력판매, 생성형 AI, 스마트그리드 등 총 14개 프로그램으로 구성하여 한전KDN 사내 전문가와 현업 실무 직원들이 직접 강사로 나선다.

강의를 요청한 목포해양대학교는 2017년 한전KDN과의 ‘산․학협력 협정체결’을 통해 교육 및 산업협력 체계를 구축하고 대학 입학과 졸업까지 전주기에 걸친 에너지 ICT 인재 양성을 위한 포트폴리오 관리를 유도하여 긍정적 성과를 도출하고 있다는 평이다.
