이번 협약으로 사단법인 나누미장애인복지회가 2025년 4월부터 2030년 3월까지 5년간 보은군장애인보호작업장을 운영하게 되며 △장애인작업훈련 △재활프로그램 운영 △장애인 보호 고용 등 다양한 사업을 추진하게 된다.

장애인보호작업장은 직업능력이 낮은 장애인에게 직업 적응능력 및 직무기능 향상 훈련 등 근로의 기회를 제공함으로써 소득 보전을 통한 안정적인 일상생활의 영위를 돕기 위해 운영된다.

협약에 따라 그동안 장애인직업재활훈련사업의 일환으로 추진하던 베이커리 ‘본빵’이 장애인보호작업장으로 운영되며 장애인복지회는 제품 품질 향상, 신제품 개발, 판로 확대를 위해 힘을 더할 예정이다. 아울러 훈련장애인과 근로장애인을 신규 모집해 장애인의 자립 도모 및 취업의 기회도 제공할 계획이다.
