브레이크뉴스 임국정 기자 = 여당인 국민의힘이 25일 "반복되는 대형 싱크홀 사고, 철저한 진상 조사와 근본적 대책이 필요하다"라고 밝혔다.
함인경 국민의힘 대변인은 이날 논평을 통해 "서울 강동구에서 발생한 대형 싱크홀 사고로 오토바이 운전자가 매몰된 지 하루가 지났지만, 아직 구조 소식이 들려오지 않고 있다"라며 이같이 전했다.
그는 "이번 사고는 지름 20m, 깊이 20m의 대형 함몰로, 이미 3월 초부터 인근 공사장에서 전조 증상이 있었다는 보도가 나오고 있다"라며 "지난해 서울 연희동 싱크홀 사고 등과 마찬가지로 이번에도 노후 수도관 등이 원인으로 지목되고 있으며, 서울시가 올해 초 '지반 침하 예방 종합 개선 대책'을 발표했음에도 사고가 반복되고 있다는 점에서 근본적 문제 해결이 시급하다"라고 주장했다.
이어 "특히 최근 10년간 발생한 지반 침하 사고의 77%가 해빙기·우기인 3~4월과 7~8월에 집중된 만큼, 이 시기에는 더욱 강화된 관리와 공사 현장 모니터링이 이뤄져야 한다"라며 "더 늦기 전에, 보다 강력하고 실효성 있는 상수도·지반 안전 점검 대책이 추진돼야 할 것"이라고 촉구했다.
