한덕수 대통령 권한대행 국무총리가 25일 직무 복귀 후 첫 국무회의에서 "지금 이 순간 우리 소명은 국민 안전을 지키고 통상전쟁으로부터 국익을 확보하며 국회와의 협치를 통해 당면한 국가적 현안에 대한 해법을 조속히 마련하는 것"이라고 밝혔다.
한 권한대행은 이날 오전 서울 종로구 정부서울청사에서 열린 제13회 국무회의에서 "우리나라가 직면한 상황은 매우 엄중하다"며 "미국발 통상전쟁 여파가 전 세계를 강타하고 내수 부진·물가 상승 등으로 민생과 함께 소상공인·자영업자 어려움도 더욱 커지고 있다"고 말했다.
