[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 수영구는 개청 30주년을 맞아 문화예술을 기반으로 하는 브레이킹 실업팀을 창단했다.

수영구는 전 브레이킹 국가대표 코치 소재환 감독을 영입하고 젊고 유망한 4명의 선수들을 선발해 팀을 구성했다. 오는 31일(월) 오후 수영구청 구민홀에서 창단식을 개최한다.

브레이킹은 2022년 항저우 아시안게임 정식종목이자 2024년 파리올림픽 정식종목으로 채택되면서 세계적으로 주목받는 스포츠다. 특히 부산에서 개최되는 제106회 전국체육대회에서도 시범종목으로 선정됐다.

수영구청 브레이킹 실업팀은 향후 대한민국 브레이킹 문화를 선도하고 전국 및 국제대회에서 활약뿐 아니라, 지역 내 주요행사와 청소년 대상 재능 기부 등 다양한 활동을 통해 주민들과 소통할 계획이다.
