(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부천시가 최근 부천시청 소통마당에서 ‘미니뉴타운 시범사업’과 ‘부천형 역세권 정비사업’에 대한 주민설명회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

부천시에 따르면, 설명회는 원도심 지역 주민과 정비사업 관계자 등 300여 명이 참석해 높은 관심 속에 성황리에 진행됐다.

부천시는 설명회를 통해 기존 소규모 위주의 정비사업이 나홀로 아파트 증가, 기반 시설 부족 등으로 주거환경 개선에 한계를 보인다는 점을 지적했다.

이에 따라 중·대규모 이상의 체계적 정비를 유도하는 방향으로 정책 개선이 필요하다는 점을 강조했다.

이를 위해 시는 ‘미니뉴타운 시범사업’과 ‘부천형 역세권 정비사업’을 시범 도입하고, 두 사업에 대한 주요 내용과 추진 시 기대 효과를 설명했다.

아울러 주민이 원하는 지역에 대해 공모를 실시해, 각 사업별 2개소씩 대상지를 선정할 계획이라고 밝혔다.

특히 해당 사업추진 시 ‘부천형 패스트트랙(신속 행정지원)’을 적용하고, 용도지역 변경과 용적률 상향 등 사업성 제고 방안을 마련할 예정으로, 정비사업을 희망하는 노후 원도심 주민들의 적극적인 참여를 유도하고 있다.

주민공모 공고는 3월 31일 실시할 예정이며, 4월부터 주민신청서 제출 시까지 공모사업 컨설팅을 지원한다.

이를 통해 사업설명과 공모 신청 방법 등 전반적인 내용을 안내해 주민들이 정비사업을 보다 쉽게 준비하고 참여할 수 있도록 도울 계획이다.
