[브레이크뉴스=주윤한 기자] 거창군은 관내 주요 관광시설의 정기 휴무일을 기존 ‘월요일 일괄 휴무’에서 시설별로 휴무일을 분산해 운영하는 방식으로 변경한다고 밝혔다.

이번 휴무일 조정은 관광객의 다양한 일정과 수요 맞춰 이용 편의를 높이고, 관광시설 이용 활성화를 도모하기 위한 것이다.

변경된 정기 휴무일은 5월 1일부터 적용되며, 휴무일 별 주요 시설은 매주 월요일 거창산림레포츠파크와 거창목재문화체험장, 거창박물관, 근대의료박물관이 휴무한다.

매주 화요일은 거창항노화힐링랜드가, 매주 수요일은 거창창포원, 수승대 출렁다리, 거창사과테마파크, 천적생태과학관이 휴무한다.

군은 이번 휴무일 조정으로 특정 요일에 모든 관광시설이 휴무해 다닐 곳이 없는 불편함을 줄이고, 관광객이 평일에도 다양한 관광코스를 자유롭게 선택할 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다.

옥진숙 관광진흥과장은 “이번 휴무일 조정은 관광객의 이용 편의를 고려한 선제적 대응으로, 체류형 관광 활성화와 지역경제에도 긍정적인 영향을 줄 것”이라며, “앞으로도 문화관광 인프라 개선과 이용자 중심의 운영 방안 마련에 최선을 다하겠다”라고 전했다.
