대전복수초등학교 핸드볼팀이 지난 3월 20일부터 25일까지 강원도 태백 고원체육관에서 열린 제3회 대한핸드볼협회장배 전국초등핸드볼대회에서 우승했다고 대전동부교육지원청이 밝혔다.

제54회 전국소년체육대회를 앞두고 우승후보 5팀이 참가하여 풀 리그로 진행되었으며 대전복수초는 경남반송초(23:18), 경기동부초(24:13)를 가볍게 물리쳤으나, 세번째 경기인 이리송학초(18:18)와 아쉽게 비겼다.

하지만 대전복수초는 마지막 경기에서 부평남초에 27대14로 승리함으로써 종합성적 3승 1무로 우승 트로피를 들어 올렸다.

대전복수초 핸드볼팀은 제52회(2023)와 제53회(2024) 전국소년체육대회에서 2년 연속 우승한 전국 최강의 팀으로 올해 제54회 전국소년체육대회 3연패 및 전국대회 전관왕 목표 달성에 이번 대회 우승이 큰 힘이 될 것으로 기대된다.
