대전시교육청은 대전체육고등학교의 수영부 소속 김채윤(2학년)과 김도연(2학년)이 ‘KB금융 코리아 스위밍 챔피언십’에서 뛰어난 성적을 거두며 2025 싱가포르 세계수영선수권대회 국가대표로 선발되었다고 발표했다. 

김채윤은 자유형 1,500m에서 한국 기록 보유자를 제치고 우승을 차지했으며, 800m에서도 정상에 올라 2관왕의 영예를 안았다. 

김도연은 접영 100m에서 우승하고, 200m에서는 준우승을 기록하며 생애 첫 국가대표 자격을 획득했다. 

이들의 성과는 대전체육고의 체계적인 훈련 시스템과 헌신적인 지도자들의 지원 덕분이라는 평가를 받고 있다.

또한, 대전체육고 핸드볼부는 창단 2년 만에 ‘2025 대한핸드볼협회장배 전국중고등선수권대회’에서 첫 우승을 차지하며 빠르게 강팀으로 자리매김하고 있다. 

핸드볼부는 예선에서 인천비즈니스고를 상대로 후반전 1점 차로 극적인 역전승을 거두었고, 준결승에서는 무안고를 28-20으로 이겼다. 결승에서는 강팀 경남체고를 27-23으로 제압하며 정상에 올랐다.

대전체육고는 이러한 성과를 바탕으로 스포츠 명문학교로서의 입지를 더욱 확고히 하고 있다. 

김석중 교장은 “우리 학교는 체계적인 훈련과 지도자들의 헌신 덕분에 학생들이 꿈을 이루고 성장할 수 있는 환경을 갖추고 있다”며, “앞으로도 우수한 스포츠 인재를 지속적으로 배출할 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.

The Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education announced that Kim Chae-yoon (2nd year) and Kim Do-yeon (2nd year) from the swimming team of Daejeon Sports High School have been selected as national team members for the 2025 Singapore World Aquatics Championships after achieving outstanding results at the ‘KB Financial Korea Swimming Championships.’

Kim Chae-yoon won the 1,500m freestyle, beating the Korean record holder, and also took first place in the 800m, earning the honor of a double crown.
