이창재 예보 분석관은 이날 정례 예보 브리핑을 통해 "북쪽 절리저기압 및 남쪽저기압의 영향으로 이번주 토요일 오후부터 일요일 새벽까지 전국적인 비가 예상되며 특히 제주도를 중심으로 많은 비가 내리겠다"고 예보했다.
주말 동안 한기를 동반한 절리저기압이 머물 것으로 예상되면서 강풍과 돌풍 및 낙뢰, 우박 등 위험 기상을 동반할 것으로 전망했다.
