브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 아나운서 이성배(43)가 17년 만에 MBC를 떠나 정치권으로 갈 것으로 알려졌다.
이성배는 14일 자신의 인스타그램에 "오늘 MBC에 마지막 인사를 드린다"며 "17년 전 낯선 출입증 하나를 목에 걸고 처음 방송국에 들어섰던 날이 아직도 선명하다. 오늘 그 출입증을 내려놓는다. MBC는 내게 단순한 직장이 아니었다. 내가 말하는 사람으로, 생각하는 사람으로, 그리고 시대를 전하는 사람으로 살아가게 만든 삶의 터전이었다"고 썼다.
이어 "수많은 방송의 순간들, 기쁨과 아쉬움이 교차했던 날들, 긴장 속에서 울고 웃었던 동료들과 시청자 덕분에 오늘의 내가 있음을 잊지 않겠다. 그 익숙하고 따뜻했던 자리에서 한 걸음 물러나 혼란의 시대로 뛰어드는 결심을 했다. 돌아갈 수 없는 길임을 알면서도, 내 삶을 새로운 길에 던져본다. 그 끝에 누군가를 위한 변화의 시작이 있기를 바란다. 그 길이, 내가 MBC에서 배운 공적인 언어와 진심의 태도로 채워지길 희망한다"고 밝혔다.
이날 TV조선 보도에 따르면 이성배 아나운서는 홍준표 전 대구시장 대선 경선 캠프에 합류해 캠프 대변인을 맡는다.
한편, 이성배 아나운서는 2008년 MBC에 입사했다. '생방송 오늘 아침' '생방송 금요 와이드' '스포츠 매거진' '섹션TV 연예통신' '진짜 사나이 등 교양·스포츠·예능물에서 활약했다.
