▲ 제1차 K-우주항공정책포럼 전략위원회 개최

[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남도는 16일부터 17일까지 사천 아르떼리조트에서 ‘2025년 제1차 K-우주항공정책포럼 전략위원회’를 개최한다.

이번 전략위원회는 지난 11일 서울에서 열린 ‘2025년 제1차 K-우주항공정책포럼 세미나’의 후속 행사로, 정책·우주·항공·AAM 등 4개 분과의 전문가 40여 명이 참석해 우주항공산업 분야의 정책과 전략 과제를 도출하기 위한 심도 있는 논의를 한다.

서성현 페리지에어로스페이스 최고기술관리자(CTO)의 특강(우주 모빌리티 산업화와 페리지의 길)을 시작으로 2025년 전략위원회 운영계획·기획 방향 보고, 분과별 주요 이슈 발표 △전략과제 도출을 위한 자유토론 순으로 진행된다.

분과별 주요 이슈 발표에서는 조경석 한국천문연구원 책임연구원, 조황희 과학기술정책연구원 명예연구위원, 전완기 한국항공정책연구소 이사, 정연석 한국항공정책연구소 이사장이 각각 정책·우주·항공·미래항공모빌리티(AAM) 등 4개 분과를 대표해 최근 국내외 주요 이슈를 중심으로 발표와 토론을 이어가며 실질적인 정책 과제 도출을 위한 논의를 한다.

특히, 이번 전략위원회는 연중 추진될 정책연구의 방향성과 틀을 정립하고, 연말 발간 예정인 ‘우주항공산업 전략과제 기획보고서’의 기반을 마련한다는 점에서 의미가 크다.

K-우주항공정책포럼은 2023년 창립 이후 국회 세미나, 정책 토론회, 비전 선포 등 활발한 활동을 이어오고 있다. 

올해는 전략·분과위원회 정례 운영을 통해 국가 우주항공산업 분야의 참모 집단(싱크탱크)의 입지를 강화하고 있다.

문병춘 도 우주항공산업과장은 “이번 전략위원회는 현장의 목소리와 전문가 의견을 수렴해 실효성 있는 정책을 발굴하기 위한 뜻깊은 자리였다”며, “포럼에서 제안된 전략과제들이 향후 중앙정부 정책과 연계되어 국가 우주항공산업 발전과 글로벌 우주항공 수도 경남 실현에 실질적으로 기여하길 기대한다”고 말했다.

Gyeongnam Province holds the 1st K-Aerospace Policy Forum Strategy Committee

Gyeongnam Province will hold the ‘2025 1st K-Aerospace Policy Forum Strategy Committee’ at Sacheon Arte Resort from the 16th to the 17th.

This strategy committee is a follow-up event to the ‘2025 1st K-Aerospace Policy Forum Seminar’ held in Seoul on the 11th. Approximately 40 experts from four divisions, including policy, space, aviation, and AAM, will attend and discuss in-depth to derive policies and strategic tasks in the aerospace industry.

Starting with a special lecture by Seong-Hyeon Seo, CTO of Perigee Aerospace (Industrialization of Space Mobility and Perigee’s Path), the event will proceed in the following order: 2025 Strategy Committee Operation Plan and Planning Direction Report, Presentation of Key Issues by Division, and △Free Discussion to Derive Strategic Tasks.

In the presentation of major issues by division, Kyung-Seok Cho, Senior Researcher at the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute, Hwang-Hee Cho, Honorary Research Fellow at the Science and Technology Policy Institute, Wan-Ki Jeon, Director of the Korea Aviation Policy Institute, and Yeon-Seok Jeong, President of the Korea Aviation Policy Institute, will each represent the four divisions of Policy, Space, Aviation, and Future Aviation Mobility (AAM) and continue to present and discuss recent major domestic and international issues and discuss practical policy tasks.

In particular, this Strategy Committee is significant in that it establishes the direction and framework of policy research to be carried out throughout the year and lays the foundation for the ‘Aerospace Industry Strategy Task Planning Report’ scheduled for publication at the end of the year.

Since its establishment in 2023, the K-Aerospace Policy Forum has been actively engaged in activities such as National Assembly seminars, policy discussions, and vision declarations.

This year, through regular operation of the Strategy and Division Committees, the position of the national aerospace industry advisory group (think tank) is being strengthened.

Moon Byeong-chun, head of the Aerospace Industry Division, said, “This strategic committee was a meaningful opportunity to discover effective policies by gathering voices from the field and opinions from experts,” and added, “I hope that the strategic tasks proposed at the forum will be linked to future central government policies and contribute substantially to the development of the national aerospace industry and the realization of Gyeongnam as a global aerospace capital.”
