대전시교육청은 4월 16일 대전신세계백화점에서 열린 장학금 전달식에서 ㈜대전신세계(대표이사 윤석희)로부터 관내 중학생 30명에게 지역인재 희망 장학금이 전달되었다고 밝혔다.

㈜대전신세계의 지역인재 희망 장학금 지원사업은 2022년부터 시작되어 4년간 매년 1억 3천만원의 장학금을 후원하고 있으며, 올해 4월에는 30명의 대전 지역 중학생이 장학생으로 선발되어 각 100만원씩 총 3천만원이 지원된다.

장학금 전달식에는 윤석희 대표이사와 함께 대전시교육청의 최재모 교육국장, 정용래 유성구청장, 최승인 초록우산어린이재단 충청권역 총괄본부장이 참석하여 장학금의 의미를 나누었다.

설동호 교육감은 “대전 지역 내 어려운 환경의 학생들이 희망을 갖고 지역인재로 성장할 수 있도록 장학금을 후원해주시는 ㈜대전신세계에 깊은 감사를 드린다”고 전하며, 지역사회의 지속적인 관심과 지원의 중요성을 강조했다.
