이 날 지지선언에는 한국전복산업연합회, 한국김산업연합회, 한국광어양식협회 서남해 지회, 한국내수면양식협회(5개 어종), 한국수산종자산업협회, 남해안굴양식 200여 어가, 부산기장 해조류 생산자협회, 한국수산업경영인 연합회 역대회장 4인 등 소속회원 전국 수산인 약 4만 7천여 명을 망라하는 단체의 대표 및 관계자들이 참여했다. 

주요 수산업 종사자들은 지지 선언문에서 “김 수출 10억불 달성, 굴 수출 세계 3위를 비롯해 광어 전복의 대중화를 이뤄낸 우리 수산업은 지금 기후 위기, 생산비 상승, 소비 위축 등 총체적인 위기에 직면해 있다”며, “이러한 위기를 극복하고, 수산업을 미래 친환경 산업으로 도약시킬 유일한 지도자는 더불어민주당 이재명 후보라고 확신한다”고 밝혔다.
