문형철 감독과 장용호 코치의 지도 아래, 장지호, 이동영, 손지원 선수로 구성된 예천군청 남자팀은 5월 23일 인천 계양 아라온 수향원에서 열린 결승전에서 청주시청을 5대 3으로 제압하고 우승을 차지했다.

특히 예천군청은 4강전에서 강력한 우승후보이자 홈팀인 계양구청을 꺾는 이변을 연출하며 상승세를 이어갔고, 결승에서는 세트스코어 1대 3으로 끌려가던 상황을 극복, 연속 2세트를 따내며 5대 3으로 역전승을 거두는 명승부를 펼쳤다.

문형철 감독은 “항상 든든한 지원을 아끼지 않는 예천군과 경북도, 경북양궁협회에 깊은 감사를 드린다”며, “다가오는 대통령기와 전국체전에서도 더욱 좋은 성적을 거둘 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

한편, 남자 개인전에서도 주장 장지호 선수가 공동 3위에 오르며 동메달을 추가했고, 여자 선수단 역시 단체전과 개인전에서 16강 이상의 성적을 거두며 향후 활약을 기대케 했다.
