【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군은 지난 23일부터 24일까지 경상남도 양산 황산파크골프장에서 열린 ‘제2회 대통령기 전국 파크골프대회’에서 단체전 시니어부 1위를 차지하는 쾌거를 달성했다고 26일 밝혔다.

이번 대회는 (사)대한파크골프협회가 주최하고, 양산시체육회와 경남 파크골프협회와 양산시 파크골프협회가 공동 주관했다. 전국 시·도 대표 선수들이 예선을 거쳐 총 699명이 참가했으며, 이틀간 열띤 경쟁을 벌였다.

증평군 대표로 출전한 문춘옥·한영희 선수는 탁월한 전략과 집중력을 발휘하며 전 경기를 안정적으로 이끌었고, 완벽한 팀워크를 바탕으로 타 지역 대표팀을 압도하며 최종 우승을 거머쥐었다.

두 선수는 “파크골프는 남녀노소 누구나 즐길 수 있는 건강한 운동”이라며 “이번 대회를 통해 전국의 동호인들과 교류하며 의미 있는 시간을 보낼 수 있어 매우 기뻤다”고 소감을 전했다.

이재영 증평군수는 “이번 성과는 증평군의 파크골프 저변 확대와 동호인들의 열정이 만든 결과”라며 “앞으로도 파크골프 활성화에 적극 나서, 군민 모두가 건강한 여가 문화를 누릴 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
