(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시교육청이 지난 24일부터 27일까지 경상남도 김해시 일원에서 열린 제54회 전국소년체육대회를 성공리에 마무리했다고 밝혔다.

인천시교육청에 따르면, 인천시 선수단은 이번 대회에서 34개 종목에 출전해 금메달 25개, 은메달 28개, 동메달 48개 등 총 101개의 메달을 획득했으며 우수선수도 다수 배출했다. 

계산여자중학교 최민서 선수는 자전거 15세 이하 부문에서 금메달 3개와 동메달 1개를 획득했고, 인송중학교 김지광 선수는 역도 종목에서 3관왕에 올랐다. 

또, 남동중학교 안다은(다이빙, 금2·은1·동1), 계산중학교 김준현(자전거, 금1·은1·동1), 청라중학교 한지민(역도, 금1·은1·동1) 등이 두각을 나타냈다.

도성훈 교육감은 “학생 선수들의 도전과 열정은 큰 감동을 주었고, 대회를 마음껏 즐기며 최선을 다한 우리 인천선수단 모두가 금메달과 같다”며 “앞으로도 꿈을 향한 학생들의 여정을 위해 아낌없는 지원을 이어가겠다”고 말했다. 

이어 “이번 대회를 성공적으로 치를 수 있도록 함께한 체육회, 교육청 관계자, 학부모님께 감사드린다”고 덧붙였다.
