브레이크뉴스 박동제 기자= 개그맨과 배우로 활동하다 언론인으로 전향한 이재포(65)가 사기 혐의로 벌금형을 선고받았다.
3일 인천지법 형사16단독 박종웅 판사는 사기 혐의로 기소된 이재포에게 벌금 1000만원을 선고했다.
이재포는 지난 2020년 11월, 인천시 강화도 소재 펜션에서 지인 A씨를 속여 2000만원을 편취한 혐의를 받는다. 당시 이재포는 A씨에게 아내 옷가게 운영에 쓸 자금이라며 돈을 빌렸으나, 다른 용도로 사용했다. 또한 금융권에도 많은 액수의 채무를 지고 있었던 것으로 조사됐다.
재판부는 “피고인의 범행 경위와 방법 등에 비춰 죄질이 좋지 않고, 누범 기간 중임에도 자숙하지 않고 해당 사건의 범을 저질렀다”면서 “다만 이씨가 잘못을 인정하고 있고, A씨 유족이 이씨와 합의해 처벌을 원하지 않고 있고, 동종 범죄로 처벌받은 전력은 없는 점 등을 고려했다”고 밝혔다.
한편, 이재포는 1983년 MBC 개그콘테스트 입선으로 연예계에 데뷔했다. 개그맨으로 활동하다 배우로 전향한 뒤 ‘제4공화국’, ‘킬리만자로의 표범’, ‘은실이’, ‘야인시대’ 등에 출연했다. 2006년부터는 언론인으로 활동했다.
