브레이크뉴스 박동제 기자= 한국 1세대 패션모델 이희재가 별세했다. 향년 73세.
10일 유족에 따르면, 이희재는 지난 9일 오후 담도암 투병 끝에 세상을 떠났다. 2022년 1월 담도암 수술을 받았지만, 2023년 암이 재발한 것으로 알려졌다.
고인의 빈소는 서울대병원 장례식장 6호실에 마련됐으며, 발인은 12일 오전 8시다.
한편, 이희재는 1971년 ‘목화아가씨’ 선발대회에서 1위를 차지하며 모델로 데뷔했다. 이후 1983년 모델라인 아카데미를 창립했고, 1990∼2002년에는 차밍스쿨 ‘와이낫’(WHY NOT) 원장으로 활동했다.
