고양문화재단이 올 하반기 디지털 해외공연 영상상영사업의 두 번째 프로그램을 발표했다. 

이번에는 세계 최고 권위의 뉴욕 메트로폴리탄 오페라에서 호평받은 베르디의 명작 2편이 고양아람누리 아람극장 대형 스크린을 통해 관객들과 만난다.

오는 8월 23일(토)과 24일(일) 양일간 상영되는 작품은 이탈리아 오페라의 거장 주세페 베르디의 대표작 <라 트라비아타>와 <나부코>다. 

두 작품 모두 메트로폴리탄 오페라 2022~2024 시즌 중 전 세계적으로 주목받은 프로덕션들로, 전통적 무대 연출과 현대적 감각이 절묘하게 조화를 이룬다.

첫 번째 작품인 <라 트라비아타>는 비극적 사랑 이야기로 전 세계인의 사랑을 받아온 베르디 최고 인기작이다. 

2022~2023 시즌 공연에서는 소프라노 나딘 시에라의 절창과 함께 테너 스티븐 코스텔로, 바리톤 루카 살시가 열연을 펼쳤다. 

마이클 메이어의 연출과 다니엘 칼레가리의 지휘가 고전 오페라에 생동감을 불어넣는다.

두 번째 작품 <나부코>는 베르디의 음악 인생을 연 대표작이자 '국민 오페라'로 불리는 대작이다.

대형 스크린과 고품질 음향을 갖춘 아람극장에서의 상영으로 현장 공연 못지않은 감동을 선사할 예정이다.

이 사업은 직접 제작이나 초청이 어려운 해외 우수공연을 상대적으로 저렴한 가격에 시민들에게 제공하기 위해 기획됐다. 

고양문화재단 남현 대표이사는 "세계 유수의 예술 콘텐츠를 고양시민들께 선보일 수 있어 공연예술 거점도시로 거듭나는 고양특례시의 위상을 높일 수 있다"며 "하반기 상영이 시민들의 문화적 감수성을 자극하고 클래식 음악과 오페라의 매력을 폭넓게 전달하는 기회가 될 것"이라고 밝혔다.

입장료는 작품별 15,000원이며, 고양문화재단 누리집과 전화로 예매할 수 있다.
