한국인이 ‘K-이니셔티브(K-initieative)’ 즉 ‘한국 주도적으로’란 말을 하면 ‘글쎄…’ 하며 의심쩍은 눈으로 바라보았었다. 그런데 대한민국의 대통령이 된 이재명은 후보 시절부터 이 말을 썼다. 통일신라시대 이후로 한국인의 의식 속에는 우리를 바라보는 두 개의 시각이 존재해왔다. 사대부 중심으로 한국은 중국의 영향권 아래 있다는 사대주의 사상이 그 하나다. 다른 하나는 한국인으로서 자신을 주체적으로 보는 평민 중심의 사상이다.

지금도 한국에는 두 시각이 공존한다. 중국이 미국으로 대체된 전자의 시각은 한국만이 아니라 전 세계가 미국을 대하는 태도다. 미국을 제외한 모든 나라의 군사력을 합한 것보다 강한 미국의 군사력에서 나오는 힘(force) 때문이다. 미국 빌보드 65년 역사에서 톱 10에 들어간 외국곡은 35곡이다. 한국 곡은 얼마 안되는 짧은 시간에 8곡이나 차지할 정도로 불세출의 힘을 발휘하고 있다. 이 힘은 비폭력적 힘(power)으로 세계를 주도하는 또 다른 힘이다. 이재명 대통령은 한국의 힘(power)을 확신하고 있다. 그렇지 않으면 ‘K-이니셔티브’란 캐치 프레이즈를 선거전에서 전면에 내세울 수 없었을 것이다,

준비된 대통령 이재명과 그의 공약들

이재명 대통령은 성남시장 때부터 기득권 카르텔과 싸우면서 성남 시민을 위해 일했다. 기득권이 그를 악마화하며 제거 대상으로 만든 이유다.

어려서부터 험난했던 그의 삶과, 정치인으로서 목숨을 내놓아야 할 정도로 다사다난 했던 그의 정치 이력은 그 자체가 공부였다. 김대중은 몇 년 동안 옥살이를 하면서 공부할 기회가 있었다. 이때 앨빈 토플러의 책을 읽으면서 한국이 미래를 선도하는 정보화 사회의 청사진을 그릴 수 있었다. 김민석 국무총리 서리는 김대중이 사상·철학적 대통령이라면 이재명은 실용·이론적 대통령이 될 것이라 말한 바 있다. 민생을 최우선으로 하는 이재명 대통령은 단단한 내치로 강한 한국을 만들어낼 것이다.

“결국은 국민이 합니다”
