브레이크뉴스 박동제 기자= 그룹 방탄소년단 멤버 지민, 정국이 육군 현역으로 군 복무를 마치고 만기 전역했다.
방탄소년단 지민·정국은 11일 오전 경기도 연천군 연천공설운동장에서 진행된 전역 행사에 참석해 취재진과 아미(Army·방탄소년단 팬덤)에게 전역 인사를 건넸다.
지민과 정국은 지난 2023년 12월 함께 입대해 경기도 연천에 위치한 육군 제5보병사단에서 약 1년 6개월간의 병역 의무를 마친 뒤 11일 제대했다.
이날 정국은 “이 자리에 와준 기자님들, 아미 여러분들. 저희 전역하는거 보러 와줘서 감사하다. 6월 11일 전역을 명 받았다. 이에 신고합니다”라며 미소지었다. 이어 “사실 카메라 앞이 너무 오랜만이고, 화장도 안해서 민망하다. 무슨 말을 해야할지 잘 모르겠다”고 전했다.
지민은 “기분이 휴가 나온 것 같다. 멀리서 저희 보러와준 기자분들 다 너무 감사드리고, 팬분들도 와줬는데 진심으로 감사하다”며 “아미 여러분들께 먼저 말씀드리자면 코로나부터 군대까지 꽤 긴 시간이었는데 기다려줘서 감사하다. 오늘 전역을 했기 때문에 앞으로 저희가 그려나가던 그림을 계속 그려나가면 되지 않을까 싶다. 더 좋은 모습 준비해 보여드리겠다”고 밝혔다.
정국은 “우리보다 앞서 있었던 선임들, 지금 있는 후임들, 동기들, 고생 많이 하고 계시는 간부님들. 정말 저희와 같이 생활한다고 고생 많으셨고 잘 챙겨줘서 감사했다고 말씀드리고 싶다”고 전했다.
지민도 “군대가 처음이었는데 쉽지 않은 곳이었던 것 같다. 만만하게 보고 들어오지도 않았지만 힘들고 쉽지 않은 곳이었다. 같이 고생하고 밥 먹고 밖에서 잠도 자고 하면서 정도 굉장히 많이 들었다. 감사한 추억들 가슴에 오랫동안 간직하겠다”고 전했다. 정국은 “많은 일이 있었는데 라이브에서 재밌게 풀어드리겠다”고 말했다.
그러면서 지민은 “마지막으로 한 말씀만 드리자면 국민 여러분들께 저희가 군대를 와보니까 쉽지 않은 곳이었다. 고생하는 분들도 너무 많다. 괜찮다면 길에서 군인분들 볼때 가볍게라도 따뜻한 말 해주면 너무 영광일 것 같다”고 당부한 뒤 “못다한 이야기는 라이브에서 많이 풀겠다”고 덧붙였다.
