대전시가 지역의 미래를 이끌 인재 양성과 교육특구 모델 확산을 위한 본격적인 논의에 나선다.

이를 위해 대전시는 대전시교육청과 공동으로 오는 6월 16일 오후 2시, 대전 엑스포타워 20층 D-유니콘라운지에서 ‘제9회 대전교육발전포럼’을 개최한다고 11일 밝혔다.

이번 포럼은 ‘대전형 교육발전특구 모델의 확장과 과학기술 기반 지역 인재양성 전략’을 핵심 의제로 삼고, 대전시와 교육청, 시의회, 대학, 기업 등 다양한 주체 60여 명이 모여 지역 교육 생태계의 발전 방향을 모색한다.

특히, 대전의 강점인 과학기술 인프라를 교육 정책과 유기적으로 연결해, 청년 인재의 지역 정착과 산업 연계형 인재 양성 모델을 구체화하는 데 방점이 찍혀 있다.

포럼의 기조발제는 김병주 영남대학교 교수가 맡아, ‘교육발전특구의 과제와 발전 방향’이라는 주제로 국내외 사례 분석과 함께 정책 진단 및 비전을 제시한다. 이어 임종화 한밭대학교 교수는 ‘교육발전특구와 기회발전특구 간 연계 방안’을 발표하며, 대전형 특구 정책 간 시너지 창출을 위한 협력 전략을 소개할 예정이다.

또한, 교육계와 산업계 대표 인사들이 참여하는 지정토론에서는 교육발전특구의 실효성 강화, 지역 인재의 정주 유도 전략, 지속가능한 지역 교육 모델 정립 방안 등에 대한 다양한 제언과 논의가 이뤄질 예정이다.

대전시 관계자는 “이번 포럼은 단순한 교육 프로그램 발표에 그치지 않고, 지역 특화 산업과 과학기술 역량을 기반으로 청년이 머무는 대전, 혁신 인재가 자라는 대전의 밑그림을 설계하는 자리가 될 것”이라며, “정책 실현 가능성을 높이기 위해 다양한 주체와의 협력 체계를 공고히 해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

Daejeon City is embarking on a full-scale discussion on fostering talents who will lead the future of the region and expanding the education special zone model.
