브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 인천국제공항공사는 이번 추석연휴 기간 역대 추석 중 최다인 일평균 21만7000명의 여객이 인천공항을 이용했다고 밝혔다.
이번 추석연휴 기간(10월 2일~9일) 인천공항 일평균 여객은 21만 7613명을 기록해 인천공항 개항(2001년 3월 29일) 이후 역대 추석연휴 중 최다 여객실적을 경신했으며, 역대 명절(설, 추석) 중에서는 두 번째로 많은 여객을 기록했다.
역대 추석연휴 일평균 여객 중 기존 최다실적은 지난해 추석연휴(2024년 9월 13일~18일)에 기록한 20만4480명으로, 올해 실적은 이보다 약 6.4% 증가했다.
이번 연휴기간 중 여객이 가장 많았던 날은 10월 8일로 22만 8846명을 기록했으며, 출발여객이 가장 많았던 날은 10월 3일로 13만7390명, 도착여객이 가장 많았던 날은 10월 9일로 12만 5826명을 기록했다.
특히, 10월 3일에는 인천공항 개항이후 처음으로 출발여객이 13만 명을 넘어서며 올해 설연휴에 기록한 기존 최다실적(12만6994명, 25년 1월 25일)을 경신했으며, 10월 4일(13만71명)과 10월 5일(12만9550명)에도 약 13만명의 여객이 출국하며 기존 최다실적을 경신했다.
지역별 전체 여객실적(국제선)은 동남아(44만8000명, 26.0%), 일본(43만2000명, 25.0%), 중국(29만6000명, 17.2%), 동북아(17만5000명, 10.1%), 미주(15만명, 8.7%), 유럽(12만7000명, 7.3%), 대양주(6만5000명, 3.8%), 중동(2만7000명, 1.6%), 기타(8000명, 0.4%) 순이었다.
해당기간 항공기 운항은 총 9906편, 일평균 1238편을 기록했다. 10월 3일 운항편은 1281편을 기록해 인천공항 개항이후 역대 최다 운항실적을 경신했다.
