고양시 일산서구가 세계적인 록밴드 콜드플레이의 내한공연을 앞두고 전방위적인 행정 지원에 나섰다. 

오는 4월 16일부터 25일까지 고양종합운동장에서 총 6회에 걸쳐 열리는 이번 공연은 하루 평균 5만 5천 명, 총 33만 명의 관람객이 몰릴 것으로 예상된다.

일산서구는 관람객의 편의를 위해 공연 당일 구청 지하 1층부터 지상 2층까지와 주차장을 전면 개방하고, 공연 기간 중 총 21명의 당직자 및 주차지원 인력을 배치할 예정이다. 

또한 화장실 내 몰래카메라 탐지기 점검, 경찰·소방·경비용역과의 비상연락망 구축 등 안전 확보에도 만전을 기하고 있다.

대화역 인근 상가에는 화장실 개방을 유도했으며, 고양종합운동장 주변에는 불법주정차 특별단속과 불법광고물 정비반을 운영해 질서 있는 도시 환경을 조성할 계획이다. 

다만 이번 단속은 처분보다는 관람객 편의를 고려한 계도 위주로 진행된다.

일산서구는 콜드플레이의 대표 앨범 'A Head Full of Dreams'의 만다라 문양을 모티브로 한 대형 플라워 포토존을 청사 앞에 설치하는 등 '꽃으로 물든 도시에서 즐기는 낭만적인 공연'을 준비하고 있다. 

이는 7년 만에 내한하는 콜드플레이와 관람객을 환영하는 동시에 25일 개막하는 2025고양국제꽃박람회를 알리는 역할도 할 예정이다.

도로보수반과 안전시설물 관리반을 배치해 공연 전 포트홀 복구, 중앙분리대, 시선유도봉 등 시설물 정비도 철저히 진행 중이다.

지난 4월 10일에는 고양종합운동장을 비롯해 까치주차장, 장미주차장, 문촌19단지 사거리 등 주요 동선에 대한 로드체킹을 실시했으며, 인파가 집중될 것으로 예상되는 지역에는 불법 노점상 단속 인력을 고정 배치하고, 자진 정비와 계도를 중심으로 갈등을 최소화하는 방식으로 운영할 계획이다.

이번 콜드플레이 공연은 지난해 칸예 웨스트, 엔하이픈, 세븐틴 공연과 올해 GD 콘서트 등 대형 공연에 대한 경험을 바탕으로 '글로벌 공연거점도시'로 나아가는 과정의 일환이다.
