브레이크뉴스 박동제 기자= 류중일 전 야구 국가대표팀 감독이 고등학생 제자와 부적절한 만남을 가진 자신의 전 며느리를 처벌해달라고 국민청원을 올렸다.
최근 검찰이 류중일 전 감독의 전 며느리를 무혐의로 불기소 처분하자, 류중일 전 감독은 자신의 신원을 공개하며 직접 대응에 나섰다.
류중일 전 감독은 4일 국회 국민동의 청원 게시판을 통해 “저는 여러 매체에 보도된 ‘학생과 부적절한 관계를 맺은 여교사 사건’의 제보자”라며 “한 명의 부모로서 이번 사건을 겪으며 대한민국 사법기관과 교육행정의 대응에 깊은 실망을 느꼈다”고 밝혔다.
이어 “고등학교에 재중 중이던 여교사가 당시 고3 학생과 학기 중 장기간 부적절한 관계를 이어온 것으로 의심되는 정황이 존재하며 그 과정에서 제 손자가 여러 차례 호텔 등에 동행한 사실도 확인, 우리 가족에게 큰 상처와 충격을 안겼다”고 전했다.
또 “수사기관은 ‘학생의 생일 이전 성관계를 입증할 명확한 증거 부족’, ‘아이(손자)의 정서적 피해가 즉각적·가시적으로 드러나지 않는다’는 사유롷 불기소를 결정했다”며 “여교사가 구매한 특정 의상과 관련된 정황, 사설 DNA 감정 결과 등은 중요한 참고 자료가 될 수 있었지만 수사 과정에서 충실히 검토되지 않은 채 종결된 것 아닌가 하는 아쉬움만 남겼다”고 말했다.
그러면서 “구청 아동복지팀은 ‘아이가 해당 남성을 삼촌으로 인식했을 것’이라는 취지의 발언을 하며 학대가 아닌 일반 사례로 분류했고, 학교 측 역시 ‘학교는 책임이 없다’며 사실상 관여를 회피했다. 교육기관으로서의 윤리적·관리적 책임을 회피한 것에 깊은 실망을 느낀다”고 지적했다.
류중일 전 감독은 “현재 여교사는 교사 복직까지 준비하고 있으며, 교육청 역시 아무 문제 없다는 의견을 줬다”면서 “재직 중인 학교의 학생을 성적 대상화했다는 점, 어린아이를 부적절한 현장에 노출했다는 점, 학교 관리 부실 등의 문제는 명확히 규명되지 않은 채 덮일 수 없는 사안이다. 저는 무엇보다도 손자의 인권 보호와 교육 현장의 안전을 위해 이 문제를 바로잡고자 한다”고 밝혔다.
마지막으로 “특정 개인의 형사적 책임을 다투기 위한 것이 아니라, 학생과 아동 보호를 위한 제도 개선을 촉구하는 공익적 요구”라며 “향후 동일한 사건이 반복되지 않도록 제도적 보완이 이뤄지길 바라는 마음 뿐”이라고 덧붙였다.
류중일 전 감독의 전 며느리인 전직 교사 A(34)씨는 재작하던 학교의 고등학생 B군과 2023년 8월부터 지난해 1월까지 서울, 경기, 인천 호텔 등에 투숙하며 성적 행위를 하고, 해당 장소에 한 살짜리 아기였던 아들을 데려간 혐의로 전 남편 류모 씨에게 고소·고발 당했다.
전 남편 류모 씨는 호텔 로비와 식당 등에서 A씨와 B군이 포옹과 입맞춤을 하는 모습이 담긴 CCTV 영상, 다수의 호텔 예약 내역, 코스튬 구매 내역과 사설업체의 DNA 감정 내역 등을 증거로 제출했다.
